VTG Fred Harvey Era Silver Thunderbird Earrings Turquoise Posts Native American
Here’s a perfect pair of Fred Harvey era vintage silver earrings. They have a classic thunderbird shape and have a snake eye (round) piece of turquoise in the center. Hand stamp work was used for the feathers, tail, and eye. At sometime these earrings were changed from 1940’s style “screw back” earrings into modern posts. The work was done very well.
The are about 3/4″ wide and 3/4″ tall.
The turquoise stones are 1/8″ in diameter.
Together, the pair weighs 3.8 g.
Tested as silver.
These were very likely created by a Native American craftsman; however, they’re not signed, which is not unusual for jewelry of this era.
