Item Description from Seller

Large Vintage Fred Harvey Native American Sterling Silver Spoon with Indian Chief Profiles and artist mark (S)

This Fred Harvey era silver spoon is highly decorated and was hand forged from one piece of silver.  The spoon measures approximately 7 inches in length.  It has two Indian head chief profiles on either end of this spoon and on the handle in between are two arrows that point down converging into a single arrowhead. On the back of the spoon there is an S engraved.

The Indian profile handle and classic designs make this spoon ever more desirable.

I was told by a collector and historian of souvenier spoons that this spoon was  made by a Pueblo silversmith…probably from the Cochiti Pueblo…for the Southwest Arts & Crafts company in Santa Fe. The spoon dates from circa 1935-40. It was probably sold by SWAC to a gift shop in one of the US National Parks.

This spoon is in excellent condition.
