RARE FRED HARVEY SOUVENIR CHINA PLATE-New Mexico-Apache Land-Full Color Face-c19

Offered is a selection of one vintage souvenir china plate sold by the famous Fred Harvey chain of dining establishments and rest areas located along the route of the AT& SF Rail line through the Western United States in the late 1800s. The plate measures 6 1/8″ diameter, is a fully hand painted colored face featuring Indian Teepees, caption reads “In Apache Land, New Mexico”, back mark reads “Designed And Imported For Fred Harvey. Even though not marked as such, the plate bears distinct characteristics of the full face paintings by the Jon Roth Co. in Germany, notably the highlighted bush tops. A complete history of this pioneering entrepreneur  can be found with a simple Google search. Excellent condition, full gold rim band in place.
