This Fred Harvey Era sterling silver ring is a classic piece of Southwestern Native American–style jewelry dating to the early to mid 20th century, produced during the height of the Santa Fe Railway tourist trade. The ring features a luminous abalone and mother of pearl shell inlay, displaying rich green iridescence with natural flashes of gold and blue, characteristic of shell work used in this era. Set in 925 sterling silver, the ring is decorated with stamped Thunderbird Kachina and rising sun motifs, designs commonly associated with Zuni and Navajo craftsmanship in Fred Harvey–era jewelry. Shell inlay pieces like this were popular souvenirs for travelers and remain highly collectible today for their history, symbolism, and bold Southwestern aesthetic.
