Item Description from Seller
This cup and saucer set is in the bright and cheery “California Poppy” pattern. It is a full size for serving coffee or tea, NOT a demitasse. Made by Syracuse China, this set is from either the Atchison, MARKINGS: Both pieces are correctly marked by Syracuse China, and are the heavyweight, commercial railroad ordered dinnerware. DATES: The cup is date coded June 1963 (92-F) and the saucer is October 1951 (10-FF) CONDITION: SEE OUR PICTURES – It’s lovely ! There are NO cracks, chips, flakes or repairs. The floral transfers are appealing in strong colors, “paintings” of actual flowers. There does not seem to be any age darkening spotting, and all the glaze is strong and bright. There are minimal surface marks from utensils, even in the cup well of the saucer. Absolutely NO cracks, chips, flakes or repairs ! This set would have been extremely stable on a moving train car dining table, with the wide-bottom-rim saucer holding the heavy, straight sided cup. SO BRIGHT and CHEERFUL after such a dreary winter!!
You could use it, with care!
