1950’s travel brochure featuring a Fred Harvey Hotel called “LA FONDA” in Santa Fe, New Mexico.  


Fred Harvey (1835-1901) was an entrepreneur who developed the Harvey House lunch room as well as restaurants, souvenir shops and hotels which served rail passengers on the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway.  He is credited for creating the first restaurant chain in the United States and was a leader is promoting tourism in the American Southwest in the 19th century.

Brochure is in very nice condition – no tears or stains.  First picture looks “green” – just lighting – the brochure is “yellow” as shown in the rest of the pictures.
