This is a fabulous vintage sterling silver pin in a traditional Native American eagle design that was typically created for the Fred Harvey Company. The wings and feathers are beautifully textured with hand stamp work. The eye is a round piece of green turquoise set in a smooth bezel.
The pin is 3 1/8″ wide and 1 3/16″ tall.
The green turquoise eye is about 1/8″ in diameter.
It weighs 11.0 g.
Given the design and construction of this piece, it was likely crafted by a Navajo artisan; however, this pin is not signed, which is not unusual for pieces of this age.
