Item Description from Seller
NATIVE AMERICAN NAVAJO HANDMADE SILVER & HIGH GRADE NATURAL TURQUOISE CUFF BRACELET
Details:
Fred Harvey–style jewelry emerged in the early 20th century as rail tourism expanded across the Southwest. To meet growing demand from travelers, trading posts produced affordable, decorative silver pieces that blended Native American motifs with tourist-friendly designs. Although many Native American artisans were employed in this work, the jewelry was often made using industrial tools such as presses, dies, and stamps to mass-produce consistent shapes and patterns.
These factory-style methods allowed for fast output while still incorporating hand-set stones, usually real turquoise, creating distinctive souvenir pieces that were part handmade and part industrially manufactured.
