Native American Thunderbird Turquoise Ring Fred Harvey Whirling Logs 1930s 8.75
Native American Thunderbird Turquoise Ring Fred Harvey Whirling Logs 1930s 8.75
Up for sale is this Native American Thunderbird Turquoise and Sterling Silver Ring. It was made likely in the 1930’s. The ring fearures a swastika symbol and arrows on each side. Native American’s collectively decided to stop using the “Whirling Logs or swastika” in their designs officially in 1940, due to it’s use by Nazi Germany. So this was made before that time. It features a turquoise cabochon and is unmarked. It is from the Fred Harvey Era so it could be from then. I have tested it successfully as sterling silver and did polish it some. The ring is 1 inch long x 7/8 inch wide. It is a size 6.75 but close to a 7. It weighs 4 grams. The band is 2mm. Thanks for looking!
