• Old Pawn ring
  definitely makes a statement. This is probably 1930s, Fred Harvey Era.
• The stone on the Navajo
  style southwest ring is petrified wood, sometimes known as agate. The colors in
  the stone reflects the minerals most pervasive in the wood. This ring is russet
  or caramel colored and black. Petrified wood comes about due to fossilization
  of wood into agate.
• Surrounding the stone
  are beads of sterling silver with 3 fingers leading to the band.
• Size is just under 7 –
  looks like 6-3/4 – see photo with sizer stick.
• The oval face measures
  just about 1-1/2 inches x just under ½ inch, including the beadwork.
• Weighs over 8-1/4
  grams.
• The polished stone is
  in very nice condition with one tiny area that feels scuffed or scraped. The
  silver is all intact except there is one silver beaded ball missing from one of
  the fingers leading to the band.
• Like many Native
  American pieces of jewelry, this is not marked but it did acid test for
  sterling silver.
• Because these are
  designer made and one-of-a-kind, one could expect to find irregularities.
