Stunning, rare Navajo artisan solid sterling silver spoon! It has the “whirling log” design that Harvey is known for but as I can’t read the maker’s mark I cannot guarantee it was made by his company.
⚠️ (Not to be confused with “those bad people from 1940s Germany” design that is similar but inverted! This design predates WW2 and has been used for thousands of years by Native, Indian, and Ukranian cultures.) ⚠️
This comes from an estate and is circa 1920s/30s, in good condition. It weighs a total of 15.1 grams and has an engraving that says “Shell Lake, Wisconsin.” It appears there are remnants of a gold wash.
