Beautiful set of 8 Syracuse restaurant ware dinner plates in the Berkley Cherry Blossom pattern. In excellent condition-no chips, cracks, fading. Used during the mid century Fred Harvey Era. According to Ruby Lane, these heavily weighted 8 1/2 in. dinner plates were used at Fred Harvey restaurants along the railroad lines as well as Yale University’s Berkley College dining hall. They have a glossy finish showing little signs of use only when held up to the light.
