Vintage Chambers Fred Harvey Tooled Leather Belt & Buckle Steerhide READ ALL
This vintage 1970s-1980s Chambers Fred Harvey signature top grain steerhide leather western belt will make a great addition to your collection. It features a tooled leather belt strap & buckle with an embossed western design of oval concho shapes and Native American inspired fan motifs and hand painted turquoise blue & coral red accents. Will blend perfectly with styles including Western American, Southwestern, Boho, Native American, Rockabilly, retro, cowboy, ranch and more. It does have wear including scuffing, scratching, dents, dings, chipping along the edges, flaked off surface details/finish, chipped paint, oxidation, stiffness, cracking, dulling, actively shedding leather fibers and MORE so please read complete details below and review photos closely for condition. ITEM DETAILS:
- Approximate weight is 6.5 ozs total including the strap and buckle
- Measures approximately 2.75″ tall at the buckle x .75 deep at the buckle x 44″ in length from end to end including the buckle. The buckle alone measures approximately .75″ x 2.75″ x 3.5″ overall including the metal hardware. The strap measures approximately .125″ thick x 1.375″ wide x 41″ in length from the tip to the folded end (with the end snapped closed).
- Condition: In vintage pre-owned used condition with wear including discoloring/darkening of the leather surface overall, the edges of the buckle and strap have denting/chipping/fraying/fuzziness, there is a large scratched area on the back of the buckle, there is chipping/flaking on the painted accents on all pieces, the edges and back has flaking/fuzziness with loose shedding fibers, the belt strap does not lay flat and is wavy due to wear and being stored with other items, the leather is a bit stiff, the metal components/hardware have patina/tarnish/scratching, there are dark speckled areas on the back of the buckle, fine cracking in the surface of the leather, the metal snaps/covers are scratched and tarnished with surface plating/finish loss, the front outer edges of the belt strap have surface finish loss/flaking/worn off finish, there are several scuffed/dented/scratched areas on the surface of the tooled leather, the painted accents are uneven and some are painted “out of the lines”, the belt strap is a bit wavy/warped, if there was originally a belt loop/keeper it is no longer present, the back side of the belt has patterned discoloring, stretched/worn/fraying belt loops, dirt, dust, grime, patina, tarnish, scratches, scuffing, abrasions, stains, stretching, stiffness, oxidation, fading, water/liquid marks/stains, actively shedding fibers and overall wear from age and handling. Could use a good cleaning and conditioning by someone who knows how to restore leather pieces. Please see photos for details.
