The Royal Blue mine was responsible for the majority of the turquoise mined in the area and is often referred to as Royston Royal Blue.

The Royston area mines produces some incredible turquoise ranging in color from a deep sky blue to dark greens. Often the colors run together in the same stone with golden brown mottled or webbed matrix. The mines currently produce some very high grade material, but in limited quantities.
